I'm going to assume you mean distilled water and not boiling water to give an infant. I think distilled is better. Call your doctor.

I am an Infant Caregiver at a Head Start Program what we do to heat up a bottle is have a crock pot filled with water, we change the water once a week and disinfect the inside of the crock pot, we add a little more water each day as it dissipates. But then it is always hot and doe's not take long to heat up. Anyway your question's answer is nursery water, it is like 99 cents a gallon and it formulated for infants, WIC approves it.

I'm not on public water where I live (we have an underground well), so I'd go with boiled water. Some bottled waters have minerals and things added that may not be so good for your baby just yet.

boil your water even if it's the one with the pink label I used to by it thinking that since it's distilled and made specially for babies it was okay to use but then found out by my doctor that even that one should be boiled so never bought that again since I had to boil it even though it was distilled and was just wasting money when all I had to do is boil regular tap water if you'll see on the label it says it's not sterile therefore needs to be boiled so don't waste money just boil regular tap water and he or she will be fine just ask your Dr. or just type in BOTTLED WATER FOR BABY and it will give you different sites and you can decide what's best for your baby

Whatever you do, don't give your infant boiling water to drink!
BOILED water, ok---after it's cooled. Bottled water---you can't really count on that being pure.

both. Boil the glass bottle to steralize it and boil the water to make the formula. If you are using those plastic inserts then don't worry about that. I used to dip the hard plastic in boils water though.

cooled boiled water is the only way to go, some bottled waters contain high levels of sodium and other minerals which are not good for such small kidneys
