I need to take a snack to feed 25 - 30 two -four year olds for my mommy and me class. No cookies. No crackers. Something besides cheese and nothing too sweet. Any suggestions would be so great.

I can't believe how many answers are choking hazards!

A 4-yr old may be able to eat a grape, but NOT a 2-yr old. Celery, grape tomatoes - also, choking hazards! Cut up apples will just be brown, and too much work.

You'll probably want something that's easy to make, can make a lot of them easily too. And not something that's going to spoil, get brown, mushy, or be a hazard for a lil one!

Personally I think chex mix & cheerios is boring. Too many day care centers have this for snacks, and kids get so sick of it. Not to mention that too many people are prone to add raisins to it - again, choking hazard.

I make mini muffins. They're great bite-sized, perfect for little hands, not a choking hazard, and hey - really really good.

We have a lot of dollar stores in our area, believe it or not, I bought the pans for them there. Just make sure you use Crisco inside the pans so they don't stick. Or, you can actually get mini-muffin papers instead. If your dollar stores don't have the pans, Kmart, Walmart, etc should have them too.

I have got you covered on this, because I had to bring things for my son's four year old class parties, and it is healthy, yet a little sweet too: fruit cups, such as Del Monte kind (many of these canned peaches or whatever are made "Lite", so there is little sugar added to them...) Those Del Monte fruit gels with the fruit in them are soooo good!! They are like Jello with fruit inside.
oh, and little cups of applesauce, such as by Motts, is a perfect snack too.

Feeding 2-4 year olds can be tricky enough, nevermind 30 of them! Stick to simple, hand-to-mouth foods, like grapes, strawberries, apples (previously cut into slices), and even cherry tomatoes. The kids will love them, and so will the parents!

What about rice crispy treats. Maybe some jello cut with cookie cutters in neat shapes.

I agree! Grapes, cherry tomatoes, raisins.....HELLO???!!!...... choking hazard! I would not feed my 2 year old grapes and would not appreciate someone else.

Applesauce is a good one. How about Jello-O, pudding, yogurt with fruit cocktail in it, donuts or donut holes, packages of fruit snacks, watermelon chunks, fruit salad, etc

Cheerios! You can put them in small (6" x 3") sealable snack bags so everyone has their own bag.
