Fatty food (preferably fried in beef tallow) tastes awesome. Potato chips are also a firm favourite (and are cheap, and are available in huge packs).
I personally love filling foods high in carbs (such as pasta) -- comfort foods such as this can be good to take the edge off paranoia, if you can be bothered cooking. Food like this is also wetter, which can help if beverages are limited for any reason.
On that note, have plenty of coke around to placate smoker's cough and minimise lethargy. Those things aside, cotton mouth is no fun.

those nachos: soften a pound of velveeta in microwave or crockpot and upload teaspoon black pepper, a million cup %. picante sauce, and in case you consume meat, a million/3 pound browned floor beef (flavored with packaged taco seasoning). Serve over your well known Tortilla chips or put in a bowl for dipping. If i don't experience like cooking, i like Crunch 'N Munch or Poppycock.

Something salty, and then something sweet. or something that is both salty and sweet, such as yogurt-covered pretzels. and a big bottle of ice water for cotton mouth
