a fast pull down is only mildly sqeaky, while a slow pull is horrifingly noisy. it is reminescent of a paratrooper sqadron simultaneously firing their m249s. i have tried crosman's pellgunoil, but that only got the gun to diesel. i used no more than 2-3 drops. i dont want to open the gun, since i have no mainspring compressor, nor the knowledge to tune it.

RWS makes a kit for cleaning break barrels you can usually find it for about $25.00 Everything you need to shoot your pellet gun and keep it in tip-top shooting condition. Contains: rod, chamber lube, spring cylinder oil, jag, swab, 250 Meisterkugeln pellets, 250 Superdome pellets, 25 felt cleaning pellets and ten 4" x 4" targets. I use this kit with my GAMO Shadow 1000. I'll enclose a link to a website where I just saw it but I think it can be found cheaper if you shop around.
