Before I came to the Lord I was so very lost. I was so angry inside. I really hated Christians. I hated everything that had anything do do with my parents. At the age of 19 a friend told me to ask God to reveal himself to me..I did...and God showed up in a huge way. My life completly changed..I was filled with love for the first time..it was like coming home after being gone for years. I finally got to meet my father. I became a member in the family of God. Myself & wife have served him all of our married lives and our children are saved. When I think of my walk with Jesus my heart just burst...I can't believe all that he has done in our lives. Lord where can I start. I started believing in God since I was real young. I always attended church. But my childhood wasn't good because of things that transpired in my family and the people that surrounded me. All that left me depressed, bitter and burdened. I was a mess. I couldn't even smile. I would cry for days. I was so mentally ill that I became physically ill. It's hard for people to understand all the pain I was feeling. I would mark my wrists because I wanted to kill myself. I use to try to scratch my skin off my face. I was almost admitted into a mental institution. I prayed for years and in my 12th grade year in high school. God lifted me up a lil. But I developed a hardened heart. I couldn't trust people. I didn't like people. But i still was burdened. But I kept seeking God and on July 19, 2003 I became free and I felt so light. And I started being faithful to God and everything that he wanted me to do. He has blessed me so much. I survived Hurricane Katrina. I was about to stay home but he told me to leave. I still got caught because we just went to an hotel but at least i didnt have to witness all that water. I stood in a shelter for 6 days, sleeping on bare floor, no clothes, nothing. But God still blessed me with my life and is continuing to bless me.

He tried to change me and I tried to cling to him many times and each time I found myself slipping. He changed me from a monster to a human. He broke my heart of stone with a promise to replace it with a heart of love alone. My God and I, we are both working at it. Of course, a little prayers from all of you would help me a great deal

im soo glad u asked this Q!! the nite i asked Jesus into my heart, i cried my heart out b/c my heart finally felt complete!! b 4 i asked him into my heart i felt empty and i felt like no 1 cared 4 me, and like no 1 loved me, but after i asked him in, i felt peace and happiness. after i recieved him in, i started having ALOT of problems/obsticles n my life, but i new that God wuz there help me the hole time!! if u r a christian, i'll c u n HEAVEN

I was Depressed. Close to suicide. a friend invited me to church. God spoke into my life that day. I have been to church before but this time He touched me. God knows what it will take to change your life. Sometimes it means that you have to hit rock bottom
