It doesn't really hurt it is more like a small pinch. Some technicians are so good at it you won't even feel it. It is the mental anxiety before the test that hurts.

No it doesn't if the phlebotomist is good. I use to work at a Dr. office in the lab and had to draw the blood too. Sometimes after I took off the tourniquet some patients would ask what is the matter aren't you going to take the blood. I would tell them is was already done. They hadn't felt a thing. It's nothing to worry about.

I have had many blood test and they are not that bad, try not to tense up. I like to look when the needle is going in so I know, but some people don't like the sight of blood so just do what ever works for you to relax.

No they dont normally. I have had many done for various reasons and 99 percent of them I can sit there and watch the needle go in and if any pain at all it is a tiny sting that lasts for a split second. They are trained and now wehere to poke you for the least amount of pain and so forth and it isnt very much of a deal at all. Good luck. :)

It barely hurts, its like a little pinch as if a masquito were biting you and its lasts for all of a second when the needle goes in. They used to hurt a lot more but now they are made of a better material. Believe me, scraping your knee hurts ten times as worse

the needle will a little but just a moment. more like a sting. but once the needle is in you shouldnt feel a thing and it is over in a matter of seconds. if you must close your eyes and think of something else.

I draw blood from people everyday and that seems to help.

No, a blood test does not hurt, but the needle they stick in your arm to take the blood is about the size of a freakin' pencil lead. Good luck...

If the Phelbotomist (people who draw blood) knows what they are doing, you should only feel a small pinch when they insert the needle. If you are nervous, request an experienced Phelb.
