It seems a bit late for an 11 year old, but you sound like a bit of a nightowl to me, so you've set the pattern. This would seem way too late for the 11-year-old when school is open. What time do you guys get up? I have to get up at 6:30 am and if I don't go to bed by 11, I'm really wasted the next day!

Just who is the parent here, him or you? Tell him to get his butt to bed at 10:00 in the summer and 9:00 during school days. and get him up at 7:00 or 8:00. he will be ready for bed by 10, guaranteed.

No - a 11 year old should have a bedtime of around 9-9:30pm on weekdays. Perhaps 11 on Friday and Saturday evening.

You are the boss of your home. They should go to bed around 9 or 10 weekdays and maybe 11 on weekends.

no. im 13 and have to be in bed by 1. my 12 year old sis has to be in bed by 11. my 9 year old sis has to be in bed by 10. , my 7 year old bro in bed by 930, 6 year old sis @ 9, and 5 year old sis @ 9. so no, 11 year old should NOT stay up that late (at least not in this house) this is the summertime schedule.

This is far too late for a child of that age. When my daughter was 11, her bed time was 830. We found if she was allowed to stay up later than that, she got moody and fought with her older brothers.

absolutely not....this young person should be in bed long before midnight-thirty. His young body need 10 to 12 hours of sleep per night....a good nights sleep makes a huge difference in his attitude, learning abilities, and good general health.

The latest he should be up is around 10:00 p.m., no later.....there is little reason for him to be up later than that.

You ARE the parent, right? Why aren't you setting the rules? I mean, I am guessing that you mean 12:30pm to 1am. Once in a while on weekends/summer would be okay, but come on! What good could possibly come from him staying up that late?
