Of course!
You have to start seeing your depression just like any other condition that requires pills - it's an illness.
It's just like having diabetes, or an infection. It's not that there's anything wrong with YOU at all!!! Some people are born with a defective pancreas and can't produce insulin. You just happen to have a condition where there is a chemical imbalance in the brain. What we think are "emotions" are really our biological reactions to the levels of certain chemicals in our brains. So when you feel "depressed" it's only your body's physical reaction to the serotonin levels. Your Zoloft acts on these serotonin levels to help control your body's reaction to the imbalance therefore decreasing your feelings of depression.
That's it, just like a diabetic needing to take an insulin injection to regulate insulin levels, you need to take your Zoloft to regulate your serotonin.
Don't ever think there's anything wrong with you! Be glad that your body is NORMAL and acting the right way to the imbalance of chemicals. Your feelings are your body's way of telling you that something isn't quite right. A diabetic gets dizzy and that signifies their blood sugar levels are off. You feel depressed and that signifies that your serotonin levels are off. It's a medical condition and nothing to be ashamed of.
Anyone who would be mean is only ignorant and doesn't know the real reasons of these types of situations.

We all feel that way sometimes. Sometimes when we are bored we feel that way. Go for a walk, listen to upbeat music, take a relaxing bath, do something that interests you but doesn't frustrate you.

You should probably go back to your doctor, but why don't you take your medication and see if that helps?
