Are you fat? Is his dad fat? Doe's he sit around all the time? All of this and more can play a big part in his weight. The best thing you can do is take him to a doctor for best directions on weight loss. Coming to a forum like this won't give you the right directions and could hurt more than help.

You don't say how old your son is, however, whenever the health of a child is involved taking that child to a doctor as a first step is always a good thing. Cutting portion size, drinking a lot of water and removing the child from in front of the tv or video games is good. If your son is outside running and playing ball, riding a bike or doing the million things kids do outside he will be on his way to losing weight. You could make sure that there are no sugary snacks in the house. Provide healthy lower calorie things to eat that are tasty. Cook low fat, healthy meals.

Depends on his height. 110 may be normal if he's a certain height. Otherwise, help him to become more active and less sedentary. Help him make better desicions on food choices. If this is already being done, you make need to take him to a doctor. Whatever you do, do not make it an issue or your son will begin to think that you don't approve of him being overweight and that could impact very negatively on his self esteem.

The first thing you need to realize is that if your son is fat it is you, the parent's fault. You put those bad habits in him. Now onto the question. I am guessing that he gets fed a lot of junkfood, you need to get that out of the house. Also exercise is very important, dont let him sit in front of the tv all day. Get him involved in some kind of sport, soccer seems popular these days. So in conclusion, the two main things are exercise and diet. I'm guessing he's young so he's not going to do this on his own, he needs your help. Its the least you can do since you put him on this road to an early death.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Start by eliminating all the crap food in your kitchen. Start reading health magazines/books and follow a healthy diet. Eating less is not healthy. Eating healthy is not only smart but life saving. Daily walks around the block are also a must. Get the cardio going.

If hes at a young age, make him run laps.
If hes like 14+, 110 is not a lot.

You haven't given us much to go on. I don't know how old or how tall your son is. The best thing would be for you to make an appointment with a doctor and talk to them about it.

You need a perception change.
Putting pressure on men to be a certain weight has a number of different affect on one's psyche.
It draws men inward, and based on the aggression that men have, drawing one's self inward can only lead to greater distress and aggression.
Societal standards for men to be 'men' or they aren't men are staggering. They end up with poor communication skills, emotional festering, angry outlashes, and well...
they send us to war. So we are really killing ourselves inside and out.
Address your son with compassion, understanding and open up. Open up yourself, and maybe he'll open up to you. Kids are funny when it comes to acquiring a sense of trust, don't just expect it. It may come with time.
Address these issues in his school and in his life.
Blessings,
Cheryl

How tall is you son? Normally, a person's weight depends on how tall they are. Maybe he is actually a normal weight. But, if he is obese, then it is up to him to lose the weight. You can say what you want, but if he doesn't want to get thin, then he won't.
