Yeah, sure! You should get him some catnip, cat treats instead of cake, and maybe take him to do... whatever he wants. But don't forget, love and care is much better than giving him whatev he wants.

And your cat understands what a birthday is? I do wish I knew when my 6 year old cats were born though. They were found abandoned on the side of the road sometime at the end of May of 2000. Am I to 30 words yet?

Sure, why not? I get my cat Christmas gifts and birthday gifts. People don't understand that it is ok to actually love your pet the way you want. And if you want to have a party, by all means, have a party.

Definitely hold a party, but do not invite any dogs. Dogs tend to get drunk and get rowdy. Actually, some people do throw parties for their pets and spend lots of $$ on it. I never had a party for my cats, but I did send them to tap dancing school.

Have a cardboard box for him with holes in it and paper balls some filled with catnip and treats, after that offer a can of tuna (natural- not with oil) or cook some chicken with a lil water, or if you are willing to invest some more than get him a fish tank with a few fish in it to watch, cats love that!

Take him and his girlfriend to a good restaurant and then to a movie. Maybe he will get in the mood. :)
Honestly, do you think the cat cares? You are doing it for yourself. Whom are you going to invite? Cats?
