As long as you keep your mind active and if there are things you want to learn - it is never to late - but just to broaden your horizen I would say - read lots of books to widen your vocabulary - play word games like scrabble or yahoo literati and such - as far as learning about history and other facts in the world - TV games like Jeopardy and who wants to be a millionaire work wonders - along with debate questions asked on here.... But as long as you try to expand your knowledge - there is always a possiblility to learning - never stop! It is never a waste and folks are never to old or too smart to learn!

You get smart my reading books, and watching factual stuff. But I think there is a difference between knowledge and intelligence. Knowledge would be the stuff that you know, and intelligence is the capabilities that you can posses as a person. Such as, someone who invents stuff may not be the brightest apple on the tree, but he still has the capability of thinking outside of the box.
