A man wanted to enter an exclusive club but did not know the password that was required. He waited by the door and listened. A club member knocked on the door and the doorman said, "twelve." The member replied, "six " and was let in. A second member came to the door and the doorman said, "six." The member replied, "three" and was let in. The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door. The doorman said ,"ten" and the man replied, "five." But he was not let in.

The man should hhave said three because every time the doorman said a number it seems like the peron replying was saying have or the number but they were actually saying the number of letters in the word that is a number.

3. It has to do with each and every of the letters contained in the numbers the doorman suggested. Twelve has 6 letters 6 has 3 letters ten has 3 letters. He idea he had heard adequate because each and every answer that replaced into suggested replaced into 1/2 of the large type the doorman suggested... that actual took me a short at the same time as. solid riddle!

I think he should have said 8.

the first pair of numbers were 12 and 6 .. if u add 1+2+6 then it equals 9.
the second pair of numbers were 6 and 3 .. if u add 6+3 then it
equals 9
so since the last person heard 10 he should have said 8 .. because 1+0+8 equals 9 ...

this is the only solution i can come up with ...

please let us know the answer :)
