Maybe you should look at why, in the face of all that evidence that you still don't believe it. Do you often have a hard time feeling loved? You have an awful lot of facts pointing in the direction that he does, but still you don't believe it. Why? And what do you get out of continually testing it? Remember that it's not the other person's job to prove it to you all the time. You have to know inside yourself that you are worth being loved or no matter how much someone loves you you will never believe it and it will never feel like enough. Love yourself and then it will be easier to detect love when it's right there in front of you. Good luck.

First, what is his age that he has to obey his step mom?
How far do you guys live from each other?
How often do you have contact?
How old are you two?
If you are far away from each other and young, you two should proceed with caution. Distance is a difficult thing to deal with for people who are older and experienced so if you're young you may not be able to deal with it.
Does he love you?
This depends.... best thing to do is ask him why the next time he saids it. First of all he must have reasons and they must make sense.
Example: If he saids stuff like "I love you because I like your smile and you talk to me and you're nice" is not enough. You can like all of those things in a friend too. You have to make sure he is not confusing infatuation with love.

There is no way of knowing how he feels. Men can just talk. Actions mean more than words. If you love him, love him because YOU do, not because he loves you. True love wants the best for those you love, it's selfish to think "I'll only love you if you love me" That's not love, that's only keeping score.

Trust your heart and believe in his, even tho he can't call as often as he likes his action should speak for itself. Give him a fair chance and believe him when he say I LOVE YOU....

you don't you just acept it, usually when people are having thoughts like yours, the thoughts are really about them and not the other person at all. so the real question you are asking is do you love him, how will you know if you do. can you see yourself without him ? if you can, it's not love.

WOW he told his friend..that means something-- definetly.
It's in the things he does for you, things he normally wouldn't do,things that he doesn't like to do,but will do for you because you want to and because you like to do them.
