ali vs frazier was without question the best of all time, but I want to win best answer so I will only go back 10 years the best in the is a toss up between Gotti vs Ward or Barrera vs Morales

Wow what a great question. There have been a lot of great rivalries but I guess because of their styles and how high the profile of the fights were, Id have to go with Ali vs Frazier. The Thrilla in Manilla was a fantastic fight. Other great rivals were Ali vs Norton, Robinson vs LaMotta and Graziano vs Zale.

Ali vs. Frazier. These guys brought the best out of each other, and the fact that they didn't quite like each other added color to the rivalry. There was never a dull moment in any of their three fights although the third - The Thrilla in Manila - stands out as their most defining bout.

Rocky Graziano vs. Tony Zale (middleweight championship).
As with most great boxing rivalries, their fights formed an action-packed trilogy. In the first fight, both fighters were dropped in the early rounds before Zale scored the knockout in the sixth. The second fight had Graziano fighting back from an early knockdown to this time also score a sixth-round knockout. The third had Zale more dominant, knocking out Graziano in the third round.

Heavyweight may very well have been Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. At the lower weights, Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran had some great fights. Also Rocky Balboa vs Apollo Creed! :)
