Do you mean that Americans take too many medications for just about anything? Do you maybe mean that there are too many medications available to Americans?
As an answer to both, I'd say yes. Americans take too many medications because there are a lot of medications available to them, whether they are actually necessary or not. They have been viewed as an easy way out, instead of undergoing healthy lifestyle changes. I must admit that most of the time medications are extremely helpful and truly life saving, but if there is a more natural cure (not just alternative medicines, but lifestyle changes) I think we all should opt for it.
There is a pill for just about anything.. too sad.. too happy.. cant pee.. pee too much.. tears, no tears, etc.. because there is a demand for it. America is a pill-popping culture, whether one chooses to admit it or not.

For sure- I know people who's five year old sons were prescribed ADD medication. hint: 5 year old boys are supposed to be hyperactive, just some parents don't know how to deal with it. We have health problems resulting form not doing much physical work, and being inside, and eating too much of the wrong thing. I know doctors that will prescribe medicine for almost any problem.

i trust we as individuals concentration a lot too a lot on Hispanics, African individuals, and Anglo individuals. those who do no extra healthful that profile are consistently being discriminated adverse to, and that is merely incorrect. i imagine minorities are, very minor, and none the a lot less could arise for themselves. Segregation? I truly have lived in what human beings call "decrease income type" and that i imagine that if you're no longer unfavorable, you get laughed at each and every of the time. children %. on each and absolutely everyone is diverse on, so if each and absolutely everyone is unfavorable in a unmarried community, they %. on the youngsters with the utmost income. Social type is a controversy purely because we as human beings trust it really is so. in case you do not care, no one else shall. human beings consistently attempt to be better. consistently. If elitism dies, then there will be no social type. I want that form of international, it could be a lot extra non violent, besides the undeniable fact that the international would flow loopy and rampage will be everywhere.

I'm european and we don't take medicine for every single uncomfortable feeling...physically or menatally or emotionally.
when I'm having a little headache evrybody tells me to take tylanol, but I first try to either lay down (tired) or drink more water (dehydration). if the doctor can't find the reason why my back is aching, he just prescribes a big bottle of motrin.
I think it's very unhealthy how americans rely on pills.
even though I have no proof of it, I think too many americans use any kind of depression or hyperactivity (themseves or their kids) as an excuse for laziness/ignorance. (I'm not saying all of them.)

Of course, that's why its becoming harder for us to fight off infections. A lot of times when the kid has the sniffles the doctor prescribes him a zithro pack, when he didn't even need it. Over prescribed these antibiotics is causing the body to be immune to them. I know doctors that will give kids antibiotics for strep even before the strep test comes back. More then half the time its not even strep. And don't even get me started on psychiatric drugs

For psychological issues, absolutely. Doctors are getting lazy. It's easier to give your patient some pills than to address their problems.
Besides doctors also get perks from drug companies for pushing their products. So it's a combination of lazy and greedy.

Yes, we rely on medicine for EVERYTHING, the drug companies did this so we wouldn't rely on natural remedies. It pays for their mansions and lamborghinis...
