I am guessing that it is because most sane people realize that environmental issues, global warming in particular, are by far the most important threat to mankind that we have ever faced. I cannot speak for other bleeding-heart liberals. But in my case I live in a fact-based world. I cannot say for sure but many conservatives seem to live in a faith-based world divorced from reality in which facts are considered nothing but inconvenient truths. If you consider learning facts to be an indoctrination, then I guess we sane folk are trying to indoctrinate you ;).

It may just seem that way. It's maybe a hotbutton issue for yourself, your group of friends, or the media in general attaching to the next short attention span concern-of-the-moment. I'm sure if you go to web.archive.org and view the archive of this site you may have a better idea of what type of questions end up as featured questions.

well everything is liberal these days...
so i guess Yahoo! Answers just goes with the flow
and make the majority happy by being environmentalists
but that doesnt help anything.
and im pretty sure your right that they are trying to indoctrinate us.

because I think we are too worried about what paris hilton is wearing or who she is dating, do you think she knows the answer on how to protect our beautiful earth,,,i think not.
