The correct answer is:
Short--anything shorter than chin-length
Medium--chin-length to shoulder-lenght
Long--anything past your shoulders

For writing a story you generally can describe the hair by where it sits on the person.
Like: Her hair was shoulder-length. Just reaching her bottom. Or Shorter than her cat's fur, fuzzy and spikey. Or even, down past her knees!
Using words or phrases that give the relative length of an object means the reader has somehting to compare it with in their mind.

I think short hair would be a style that accents or forms to the shape of the head...medium falls just shy of the shoulders....and long, anything beyond that!!Anita

My friend once told me that short hair is anything above the shoulders and long hair is anything below the shoulders. So maybe medium hair is at the shoulders.

ima lady :D eyes- eco-friendly or blue. relies upon. hair- i love brown, and blonde. besides the undeniable fact that it relies upon. hair- medium. also relies upon on there face. yet no longer longer then shoulders. instantly. body- skinny. mild muscular. freckles- doesnt remember/relies upon on what they provide the effect of being like. skin- undemanding/tan. make up- hell no. neither. oh yeahhh. he must be taller then me.

medium length. shoulder or to your shoulder blades

well i say short is nt below d ears....medium is any where frm below d ears to js touchin d shoulders
n long is anywhere below d shoulders...which if much below is too long!
