Reduce caloric intake, eat more unrefined carbs like beans, whole grains and whole grain products and less refined carbs like white crackers and white bread. Eat more green, definitely! Eat a little fat each day, 2 tsp of either olive, canola, safflower, or flaxseed oils, and reduce saturated fat (butter, margarine, animal fat) to a bare minimum. Reduce sugars to a bare minimum, opt for natural sugars like in fruits when you crave something sweet. Mangos are sweet and natural, so are figs and oranges, yum! If you really gotta have something sweet, opt for a banana.

Eat at least 2 servings of dairy every day, like: 1 cup skim milk, 1 cup lowfat or nonfat yoghurt, 1 oz cheese (which is one slice, or 1 inch cube).

As for produce, eat 5 servings a day. For the fruit, eat no more than 2 servings a day, get at least 3 veggie servings a day. It's not as hard as it seems. One serving of raw veggies is 1 cup, one serving of cooked veggies is 1/2 cup. You see? No need to eat a ton of raw, it's quite easy. For breakfast, include a fruit. For lunch, include a small salad and a fruit. For dinner, eat a side of veggies and a salad. Voila, done! And you know what? Spaghetti sauce counts as a serving of vegetables, so does veggie juice. Watch out for fruit juices though, lots of sugar in those. Opt for the fresh stuff instead, or drink water/tea.

Speaking of water, drink at least 8 glasses a day. It flushes out the dead cells and rejuvenates you. Especially now during the summer, you need more water.

Get restful sleep every night. Not getting enough rest can make you depressed, fatigued, and less likely to exercise wise food choices. You'll also have more energy for exercise.

Speaking of exercise someone said the right thing about it. Do it for 30-60 min at least three times a week. Include some resistance training, it builds muscle and muscle metabolizes fat quicker than anything. If you don't wanna get bulky, don't worry, women can only get bulky when they take steroids. Unless you're doing that, you can lift even some heavy iron and not get chunky. Actually, the muscles will tighten, pulling in, making you appear smaller.

Cardio is great, it keeps the heart and lungs healthy. Cardio and resistance training also increase your metabolism, which makes you burn more calories 24/7, even while at rest.

If there's an emotional reason you're overeating, deal with this reason, or nothing will work in the long run. Join a support group, talk to friends, talk to your mom or sister or anyone, if you're having problems. If you use food as a buffer to relieve unpleasant feelings, try to "feed the need" without food, but with something else more satisfying. Maybe you have lots of stress in your life, and you need some Calgon time? Maybe you need a babysitter once a week (if you have kids) so you can have some "me" time? Maybe you need to pray? Meditate? Pray about it, God wants you to be healthy. Maybe you need a Dr? See how you can heal yourself inside, this will be KEY in losing weight.

As you can see, weight loss involves lots of methods, not just one. (And did you notice, I kept encouraging you to EAT? Yes, eat to feed your metabolism, and eat smart.) Weight loss is a holistic (sp?) approach, every piece plays its part. The more ways you include, the better off you'll be, the more successful you'll be. I hope this helps!

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

Cut your calorie intake to under 2000, 1500 works for me, and start walking, doing sit ups and stuff like that. Make sure you eat a lot of veggies and protein and drink lots of water.
