Probably not too soon. He has 60 days from his sentence to appeal, which is automatic in a DP case.
The Supreme Court of CA will take at least a year to rule on the first of many appeal issues.
Then there will be the writs before CA courts and Federal Courts.
Add to that the judge's concern recently that lethal injection is cruel and unusual and the ba$tard will probably outlive all of us.

No. They always take a long time to do these kinds of things and it's only been a year since the trial. Appeals and whatnot. I guess that's for the best, as it gives them more time to realize how they screwed up and what's going to happen to them. I suppose...
