Carbon fuel Is running out and nobody seems to keen on nuclear. Wind power and Solar are a long way from providing our needs. A Dam across the mouth of the mediterranean and the Atlantic may seem far fetched but It only requires the political will. What do you think. This idea has the benefit of providing transport links as well!

I may be useful but not a dam, but a mechanism that gets energy from CURRENTS, one superficial and one on the bottom. This could be a great source of energy and france has some experiments involving current's energy to move engines that transform motion into electric current.
