post bulletins around your neighborhood. call people in the phone book and spread your services by word of mouth. let everyone know what you are doing.

Personally, I wouldn't hire a housesitter from the net or a posting. The person could be a criminal. I use recommendations from friends.

Read the newspaper and look for ads that are calling for housesitters.

First get bonded and insured, it will make getting hired easier. Check with agencies who pre-screen your application. Most people wont hire a stranger unless referred by an agency. Start your own housesitting, pet sitting agency!

Go to the Craig's List site for your city -- the ads are free - use that to help find housesitting jobs -- and look for people looking for one. (See below for link)

your going to have to search the want ads in your area. Talk to the employment agencies around your area they would have a better clue.
