ive been wondering sence by history class a while back. jesus was born in 0 A.D. and died in 29 A.D. (or somthin close to that) doesent A.D. stand for "after death"????

AD stands for anno domini, Latin for "in the year of our Lord". So, there was 1 BC, then the next year was AD 1; so there was no year 0. Newer evidence suggests taht Jesus was born in either 4 BC (the occurence of a comet) or AD 7 (the occurence of a planetary alignment), either of which might explain the "bright star" in the east.

Yeah, A.D. stands for After Death. I don't know the whole thing confuses me. Besides, I go by BCE (Before Current Era) because I'm not religious. And when speaking of the present era, CE (Current Era).
