It is all about potion control.... We get way too much food these days, which is why so many people in the population are overweight or obese. You should always try to balance your plate, having one quarter as a protein or meat, one quarter a grain (preferrably whole grain) and the other half vegetables or fruit. Keep the amount of cheese portion sized (2oz), and you should do fine. It is all about calories in versus calories out. Search google for a BMR calculator, it will tell you the base number of calories your body needs to survive at certain activity levels. You need to have a defecit of 3500 calories in a week to lose a single pound, it is all math, so just keep that in mind. Don't restrict any foods completely or you will hurt your chances. Just eat smaller amounts at a time and eat 6 times a day instead of 3. That will kick up your metabolism. Then makes sure to exercise daily, even if it is just walking around the block. Switch to drinking water and Bam, you lose weight. I lost 60 lbs doing that and I ate all kinds of crap that was bad for me. Just less of it.

Check out the Glycemic Index. It is used by diabetics to slow down thier sugar absorbsion. The good news is that if you eat low G,I, foods you will feel fuller, longer. Do this with several small meals during the day,and the wieght will come off.

Diet to be followed exactly for 3 days (Lose 10 lbs in 3 Days)
First Day (850 Calories)
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea; 1/2 grapefruit; 1 slice of dry toast; 1 tbsp. peanut butter.
Lunch
1/2 cup of tuna fish; 1 slice of dry toast; black coffee or tea.
Dinner
2 slices of any type of meat (about 3 oz); 1 cup of beets; 1 small apple; 1 cup of vanilla ice cream.
Second Day (1040 Calories)
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea; 1 egg; 1/2 banana; 1 slice of dry toast.
Lunch
1 cup of cottage cheese; 5 saltine crackers.
Dinner
2 hot dogs; 1 cup of broccoli; 1/2 cup carrots; 1/2 banana; 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream.
Third Day (840 Calories)
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea; 5 saltine crackers; 1 slice of cheddar cheese; 1 small apple.
Lunch
1 Hard boiled egg; 1 slice of dry toast.
Dinner
1 cup of tuna fish, 1 cup of beets, 1 cup of cauliflower; 1/2 cantaloupe; 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream.
*Diet works on chemical breakdown and it is proven. Do not vary or substitute any of the above foods. Salt and pepper may be used, no other seasonings. Where no quantity is given there are no restrictions, but use common sense. This diet may be used 3 days at a time.
3 days you will lose 10 pounds. After 3 days of dieting, you can eat normal foods, but do not overdo it. After 4 days of normal eating start back on your 3 days of dieting. You can lose 40 pounds in a month..... if you stick to it.
This is a safe diet. Remember you do not snack between meals. You are allowed diet soda on this diet.

Switch to wheat pasta and try to eat more chicken and fish. Sorry to say that I haven't found any low fat cheese that I would recommend. Good Luck with your diet!

do not starve yourself if you want it just have it and later you should just eat some fruit or vegetables and exercise when you have the time
