I broke my coccyx in car accident a while back. I was out for about six to eight weeks.

I skidded on some ice & landed very hard on my coccyx 15yrs ago.

I saw a Dr who advised me I'd chipped the coccyx & I had got bits of bone floating around. For 6 weeks I was in agony sitting (& lying down for the 1st 2-3weeks).

Sorry to say I still suffer now if I sit still for long periods & especially during the winter when the weather's cold & wet.

Yes I fell roller skating and bruised my coccyx very badly. I couldn't sit right for a long time. That was a long time ago 1971 to be exact. And no it hasn't had any affect on my back. Now if you broke it, it may be a different story.

I broke my coccyx 6 yrs ago. I still can't sit for prolonged periods without shifting my weight from cheek to cheek. It is definitely better than when I first broke it though.
