speak privately to whoever started the "nice-ties". ask whats' wrong and why give your friends the attitude.
im sure there'd be an explanation that'd come your way after this so be prepared with yours. and some action plans.
last option, take your friends out and have your own cook-out somewhere else instead.
I say, there's no point in spoiling everybody's day with such a lame drama.

we need more info. There's definitely something you're not telling us here. In other words: Why doesn't your family like your friends? Answer that and perhaps folks can give you a helpful answer.

they would never feel uncomfortable caus all my friends love my parents. my mom and dad are funny i love them my friends love them we are all loving.
