WOW! My cat had 7 kittens too! They were born yesterday and all are doing fine. No need to worry unless the mother isn't feeding them...they will be fine. She had 5 orange tabby's and 2 dark tabby's...everyone put your order in quick LOL

Nah, they should be fine as long as the mother is getting enough food and water. I have seen cats give birth to up to 14-15 kittens and handle them fine. A cat usually won't have more then they can handle. Nature usually makes sure of that.
Just watch and make sure there are no stragglers that can't get to the nips to feed, or any bullies that push the weak ones away. You may need to pull the bullies away for a little bit or move the other kittens out of the way and place the weaker one closer to the mom, giving them a chance to drink once in a while.
I would no bottle feed unless it is really necessary, mother's care is best.

Just keep an eye on them, more than likely she will do fine, mine had 5 kittens and they are all gaining weight. If you notice that they seem more hungry offer them some of the bottle. (Wal-mart has a premade kitten formula already to go or in the powder where you mix your own) Also in about 3 weeks you will begin to offer them 1% cow milk and kitten chow, that will give the mama cat a break and they grow up so quick. So just keep an eye on them until then.

Cats can have any number of kittens. I would not become concerned about weight unless it appeared that some were gaining more than others. Often, the mother, with that many babies, will feed 3 or 4 at a time. It should be fine...and congrats!!!!

I've actually had 2 cats that have had 7 Kittens. They were all fine and yours should be too. Just watch and make sure they are all gaining about the same amount of weight and they look healthy!

7 is alot but not too much, since a female cat only cas 6 nipples, and kittens usually always feed at the same time, one of them is going to have to wait.
Be fair and make them take turns on who has to wait.
I would not bottle feed them cows milk, it is different in nutrients, that a kitten needs.

I'd let Mama Cat take care of the babies. Just keep an eye on them. If any problems, call your vet. S/he will be able to give you advice about what to do and recommend a brand of kitten milk.

Not necessarily. Make sure you take good care of mom, and give her adequate nutrition. Only augment the care if they seem to be getting rejected and not enough nipple time.

When the kittens are weaned, please take mom to the vet or local humane society to be spayed. Also, in a ideal world you should offer to pay to get the offspring spayed and neutered to those who adopt them from you. But if you can't do that, please only adopt them to responsible owners willing to spay or neuter the cats. Kittens are wonderful, but there are literally millions of cats euthanized each year because there are not enough responsible owners.

Talk to your vet about this. Random people on the internet may not give you the best advice.

And please, have your cat spayed ASAP. With 3-5 million adoptable pets being killed each year in shelters, there's no need for non-professional breeders to bring more into this world.

Good luck to you.
