I believe that no sin can enter into the Kingdom. Guess what, we are all sinners that are saved by grace. I need his mercy and grace everyday. Without it I am lost. We have to stay in a constant state of praise and prayer. When we take our eyes off the prize is when we wind up and miss the boat. We end up backsliding back into to traps of this world. He said He would never leave or forsake us and he don't. We are the ones who leaves and forsakes Him. Its not an easy path to walk and NO ONE can do it on their own. Even Jesus called out to The Father. Jesus was tempted. How did he get through them? He kept the Word of God in his heart. Meditate on His Word to help you through your trials.

My practice of faith is United Church of Christ and was "Born Again" about ten years ago. To be saved is just the beginning of your relationship with God and Jesus. To be saved means you must have an understanding of what Jesus' purpose was and why he was sent as our savior. Several scriptures outline this ,such as John 3 , Matthew 16, and Luke 3. To be "saved" simply means you choose to live life as Jesus taught us and realize that, ulthough we have free will, we need God's guidance to live our lives in the way it was intended.
I believe in three basic princibles when it comes to my Faith.
1. The Bible is only a guide not a rule book. What I mean is that although this is his Holy word it has been written in a time period that the culture was far from ours. So, with the exception of the ten commandments, we are supposed to make mistakes and learn from our life experiances.
2. Revenge and Hatred are never the answer. Seeking forgiveness for our sins is a "give and take" system. If you are asking for forgiveness for your mistakes then how can you hold grudges or animosities towards others? I have found the best way to handle the difficulties in life is to give it to God to help resolve it.
3. Life is not about just me. Every single person on this earth has purpose whether it is big or small and it is not up to me to decide what it is. Life is not measured by how much money or posessions I have. It is about how many people I am able to help or touch spiritually.

Hopefully this helps you in finding the answers you need. Remember that no matter what God will forgive you, as long as it is sincere.

Yes, I believe this.

The question is usually, were they really saved. The bible tells us that a person can confess to salvation and speak and even preach about it, but if the salvation was not real in their hearts , it will show in their actions eventually. Usually in a time of hurt or temptation.

When this happens, we can see finally that the salvation was never real from the beginning.

We hear about this in testimonies all the time. Usually younger kids will come forward at an age that their friends seem to be doing it. They testify years later that they come to the realization that their salvation was not real, and give their hearts to GOD at that time.

So my answer is still yes, once saved in your heart, always saved. The mere mentioning that you are saved may not always be true.
I know that my salvation date, and my beginning to walk with GOD date are years apart. Was I saved back then, I believe so, I know I felt the burdon of my sin, and the urge to give it to GOD and belong to him. I also know , I had no idea what that entailed at the time.

I was raised Baptist, but after our move to a new state, we couldnt find a doctrinal baptist church in our small area, so we now worship and fellowship at a non denominational bible doctrinal church.

No, I do not believe that is true. What about the scripture in James 5:19 and 20
Brethren, If anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.
Galatians 5:16-21 (21)....those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God Read Galatians ...

Once saved, always saved? In order to accomplish this!
You need to be locked in, fine tuned, humming along the
straight and narrow, that means;
start the day with Jesus, and end the day with Jesus, and all the time inbetween staying focused on him.
I have no religion! I have a saviour Jesus Christ! A-men!

NO, this is a man-made doctrine and not bible based at all. Romans 1:16-17 for one states that is through faith that you can attain salvation and everyone knows you CAN lose your faith. Also Philippians 1:12 states "Consequently, my beloved ones, in the way that you have always obeyed, not during my presence only, but now much more readily during my absence, KEEP WORKING OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling."

So here we see that its not something that they had to do only while the apostles and Christ was around but more importantly, when they WEREN'T around. So this would mean that it would be over the course of our life. This is why God says the day of our death is greater than the day of our birth, because at death, we have proven our faith, love and worked for our salvation over our lifetime, accepting Him and His son.

Yes, I am a Bible Christian.

It sounds like you may be basing your salvation on your own work. Most people that have trouble with eternal security are trusting in their merit to enter into heaven. Scripture teaches us that salvation is by the shed blood of Jesus Christ and by Him alone. When He died on the cross, His death paid for the your sins, past, present, and future.
Of course the scripture also teaches us that once we have eternal security we do not frustrate the grace of God.

Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

The Word of God says that Jesus is the author of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him (Heb 5:9) and that he that doeth the will of God abideth forever (1 John 2:17).

So, if a believer wants to have the assurance of eternal life then he/she must make Jesus Christ the Lord of his/her life.

What religion am I?: I am a born again Christian who attends a non-denominational pentecostal Church.
