Angry and jealous, so that's a loving God?

Angry, jealous, disappointed, sometimes he changes his mind, he takes revenge, he smites (is smiting an emotion or a reaction to anger?).

In the bible i actually never saw him truly love. It's always love with a catch. "worship me, and i love you"

The biblical God strikes me as an arrogant creature, who has too high self-esteem, he seems a bit like a spoiled kid.

I don't think the biblical God will be the truth in the end, btw. I think i believe in a constant form of loving energy, that's my God or however i call her.

You're right, it doesn't.
God's anger is mentioned multiple times. So emotion? Yeah, I guess so.

I doubtful of it all, anyways. God would need a corporeal body to experience the same emotions as humans. Emotions are not "real" like we think they are, just physiological responses caused by neuropeptide release of the hypothalamus in the brain while after processing stimuli and comparing it against preconceived ideas from an earlier time.

Keep in mind that "Love" is not an emotion like anger or jealousy, it is a much more complex feeling than emotion which is a combination of the bonding process of life's up and downs with another person, and the voluntary giving of that love.

Example: My extreme behavior towards you could get you mad eventually, but it's unlikely that my behavior could ever make you love me. You would have to voluntaryily render that. So, it's a little different than emotion, probably more similar to the voluntary feeling of "hate".

A "crush" or "puppy love" on the other hand, falls more in the catagory of an emotion due to the massive release of the neuropeptide P.E.A.

Don't know if this answers your question

U've have got to be kidding me, crying is not the only emotion that is there.
God show jealousy
(Thou shalt have no other gods before me) - Exodus chapter 20 verse 3

God shows love (For God so loved the world that he gave is only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life) John 3:16

God shows anger when he destroyed the city of Sodom & Gomorrah in Genesis.

I can go on and on, but i think u have gotten the point, plus i need some more points. God bless u.

You mentioned Anger and Jealousy and then ask if God is loving, I ask u, have you ever shown or had jealousy and/or anger towards someone in your life that you love/d. Answer that truthfully and then ask yourself if you consider yourself to be a loving person.

According to Christian beliefs, YHWH (God) apparently does indeed have emotions. This one verse shows thus:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (King James Version)

By the way, I'd like to note that the concept of a physical Hell is a non-Biblical notion. Early Christians contented themselves with the idea of eternal death.

Well it does say Jesus cried.... God specifically no, but yes He has emotions, He gets angry and jealous and was also very repentant that He created man in Genesis.

God made us in His image (of course not perfect at all) but in that image are feelings, emotions:

God feels Love, hate, anger, joy, vengeful, compassion, etc. But all His feelings are with perfection.

Jesus even had fear before going through his last ordeal when he went to the garden to ask God to pull this from him, but then came to his senses and said "your will be done".

But contrary to man, God is not lead by His emotions so He doesn't make mistakes. We on the other hand are often lead by them and even controled by them and it makes us do things some times, we shouldn't.

ADDITION:
Yes Anger in God's part is perfect and loving. because His anger is only towards evil, lies, manipulation and so on. A good Parent would be angry at anyone doing that to their children if they loved their children, wouldn't they? So God being a Perfect FATHER to HIS CHILDREN does feel anger and jealousy (jealousy towards those who worship false gods, lies and spread lies) He is the one and only God. And His love, IS PERFECT for He doesn't tolerate evil.

what do you think?

he is a jealous God ( he doesn't want you putting anyone else before him), he can get angry (he will make you feel his wrath, ie. hurricane katrina) and he also loves you (sent his only son to die for all of our sins)..there!

i think that covers a wide range of emotions.
need i say more?

and for all of those who don't believe.
let's see how much you believe when you're burning in the lake of fire.

and yes you can be loving and also angry and jealous. those are emotions. duh. don't be ridiculous. who do you know just has ONE emotion?

Being a human creation, of course god displays all of the human emotions; he acts just like a spoiled child.
