I don't know if this is normal for me to say that I have never dated before yet,I want to. I am 19 years old and was wondering if my height has something to do with this. I am 6ft 5in. Do you ladies fear this kind of height? If so why? I need to know. What is it that you girls look for in a tall person? I get a lot of comments behind my back, but none dare come up to me.

Ladies are usually attracted to height! I sure am... I love a guy 6 ft plus!!
If there's a girl you really like, build up the confidence and ask her out to dinner somewhere nice. If she says no, don't fret! There's another girl around the corner. Plus... if any girl talks about you behind your back, she's not worth your time!!

I agree with everyone so far, tall is sexy. And 6'5" is not even too tall. I thought you were going to say over 7'. Even then, it wouldn't be a big deal- not a factor to outweigh all others.
I have a feeling you are probably very self-conscious and maybe even defensive about your height as well as being shy. I think those are the things that may be hindering your dating life.
And, FYI, I never even kissed a guy till I was 19. So I felt like a total dork, BUT, once I started letting go of the shyness and insecurities, I found a whole world of fun and found out I am just as attractive as anyone else. Your height is only one small part of who you are- and just be proud of it, no matter what, it's you. Unless you plan on getting some kind of surgery! lol. don't do it, i'm just joking!
Tall is HOT! You can protect me and wrap me up and make me feel safe and cuddled.

Some girls would love your height your height is so sexy and it will make a woman feel safe look at shaquille oneal his wife love it heck look at basketball guys their girls loving it you just feel that something is wrong and you are afraid to approach a girl in fear of rejection or what she might think you have to not care girls like a man that is confident you got to project confidence or girls will take an advantage of you start hanging with the fellows a little to get a feel of what they are doing but always be your self and show confidence if you show weakness then you will lose everytime be sure of yourself! Act like you know that you are the man girls love that not arrogant though be smooth and cool do not over do it just relax listen to the ladies when you are interested in a lady ask her what she look for in a man and what she likes most the only way to find out about a woman is to ask her and she will tell you probably more than you want to know lol start checking out the ladies nothing is wrong with your height plenty of girls like it but if you are not confident they will pick up on it and pull back so GO FOR IT!

First off, you're life just started as far as the dating scene goes, so dont worry about not having a girlfriend yet. I have a friend, and he's 7ft, I think, I'm 5'5", so that was always interesting and actually, kinda cute. He would take things from me and hold it up in they air. His friends call him the Jolly Black Giant and The Horse which he laughs about, but sometimes I think it does bother him.
I had a chance in dating him, and he was a great guy, I just wasn't interested in dating anyone at the time. I highly doubt it's your height, you just haven't found the right person yet. ;)

I doubt it has anything to do with your height. Do you slump in order to appear shorter? That portrays a lack of confidence. I think we women look for the same things in a man, no matter his height. Confidence without arrogance is sexy. As is intelligence. The only drawback for me in dating a much taller man, (I am 5'2") is that it is difficult to slow dance. Maybe the comments you are getting behind your back are...Wow, he's so hot. He doesn't even know I'm alive though."

i don't fear that kind of height, I'm 5'10" and I'm 14! so ya... maybe the reason ppl don't say those comments to u is bcuz they might b scared of ur height or they rather not tell u. hope u find a grl tht is not afraid of ur height and likes u for u. goodluck

No ur height has nothing to do with it, I love tall men, i find them attractive maybe u r not looking in the right places keep looking u will find somebody.

Kevin I only date tall guys. I find short men unbelievably unnatractive. Tallness is a sign of maculinity... which girls love! (Altho most wont admitt it) Hang in there love, your still very young (im 20, and in a relationship, but sometimes think im too young) Good luck!

I love a tall man, cuz aint nothing like looking up into his eyes and kissing or him bending over to give u a hug, aint nothing wrong with a tall strong man. u will find someone just be patient.

No, in my opinion, the taller they better. My husband is 6'2". I'm only 5'5", and it makes me feel safe going out at night with him. Plus, tall guys are just hot. Who wants to make love to a midget?
