yeah ask your local mall about it. it's awesome. don't believe any of those stupid internet ads. they're crap. they're just trying to get you to sign up for stuff. they never actually send you anything. sometimes mall managers do hire people to "secret shop". you can usually pick them out because they'll either ask your name at the beggining of a transaction you're helping them with or more commonly at the end so they can walk out inconspiciously and write it down once they're out. usually the mall manager will give you a sum of money and a list of stores and you get to go shop and keep the stuff you buy. rating the store as an average customer on cleanliness, customer service, and other such things. so talk to the mall superviser, not many of them do it though. DO NOT ENTER YOU'RE INFORMATION INTO ANY OF THOSE DUMB WEBSITES. Good Luck.

P.S. Since this job is so rare and wanted it may be better to find a conventional summer job. just a tip.

I did it for a few months. You usually communicate via the computer. An assignment is posted and you accept it. Ex...Visit a certain hardware store and check on cleanliness, service, and stock. Could be reimbursed for a small purchase. You fill in the online questionaire and possibly fax some paperwork. You would then be paid $10-20 on paypal.

it's a fraud.

They make you pay a fee to participate. Then they disappear.

One of the oldest scams.

Sounds like a fun, legitimate job, right? Well unfortunately, if you want to participate, you are likely to find hundreds of fraudulent websites claiming to help you get daily work. But in most cases, these websites have one intent - making you pay to become a member of their website just so they can supposedly tell you where to go on the internet to find real mystery shopping jobs. But all they actually do is provide you with a list of useless links to companies that no longer exist, or more companies that want you to pay more money to join their website as well!

These websites will charge you a $20-$40 fee for access to their directory of mystery shopping job sources. In reality, 99% of these websites offer you nothing more than the following:

Outdated mystery shopping resources with non-working links, phone numbers, & email addresses.

No customer service or help in finding jobs.

No refunds if you are unsatisfied - Most of these fly-by-night mystery shopping websites won't even respond to your refund requests, and once their website gets shut down due to complaints, they start another one under a different name.

Poorly designed sites with confusing navigation systems and information, and non-working pages.

check out www.shopnchek.com

I have done some jobs for them over the past 3 years, reputable folks and you can either get a check for your pay, or a direct deposit to your bank account.
