Our cat gave birth to her kittens in the ceiling of a storage room and we can't even fit our heads into the space that she climbed through. She's fine, she showed up when we opened some wet food, but we have no idea if the kittens are alright, or whether or not she'll bring them out by the time they need to start socializing with people. It was suggested to keep the mother cat away to lure the kittens out, however they might not even be able to get out of the space they are in and of course we wouldn't be able to even do that until they are atleast 3 or 4 weeks old (They are only 4 days old right now).

We did get her to come out with wet food and saw her and she let us pet her, we're just worried that she might be nesting in fiberglass insulation.

My cat also just had kittens, They actually like being left alone, The more you fuss with them the more uncomfortable the mother gets and then the kittens wont be as healthy, You just have to leave them alone, she will evetually move them, If its a really unclean area then I would try to get them out and move them somewhere like an unused closet or something.Once they are a couple of weeks old you can start giving them royal canin baby cat food, and its actually good for the mom to eat it also, it will put the weight back on her,

If the kittens are that young they will not survive without their mothers milk and warmth. I guess she will bring them out when she is ready and when the space starts getting to small from them. She will clean them constantly till they get alot older. I hope time and the space will eventually get her to bring them out. Their will be a time when the mothers milk is not filling their tummys for long enough time, maybe she will bring them out to eat in the future.

Momma cats are very smart. If she thinks in any way they are in harms way she'll take it upon herself to move them out of there. Animals are sometimes so peculiar. I know what you mean though but more than likely she'' be able to judge when they are getting bigger and will move them to another strange but safe place. Good luck to you!

I'd call and ask a vet, or if you insist on going solo on the project, you may have to widen whatever hole she crawled into enough to reach in and grab the kittens.

i think you should put her favorite food out and change it every day but leave as soon as you put it out. after a few days you should stay and wait to see if she comes out for the food while your still there. if she doesnt give her some time. im not an expert and i dont have expireince but i hope this helps.

She wont bring them out unless they are in danger. Do you hear them crying?Give it a few days then tear out the ceilings. The kittens wont come out on their own yet.
