I am Muslim

Everyone is scared of dying is is even a field of study in psychology that deals with the fear of dying. We live our entire life so that we do not die. You might know this feeling by an Adrenalin rush.

Used to be, used to be terrified of it but I realized some things

1 it's gonna happen no matter how you feel about it it will happen

2 the anxiety of death is a created anxiety it's not something we are born with it is something we learn.

3 either life goes on when we die or it doesn't either idea doesn't seems so bad I mean if when we die that's it then there is no sense in freaking out over something that doesn't even exist, if we do go on than any pain we will expirience will be minimal in the grand scheme of things

No matter what you believe no that your beliefs will have no lasting effect by what is real. Better to believe nothng and be open to the possibilities. Why be afraid of death when there is life to be lived

Well death is just a path for us to go through, as when a creature is created it has a life span and all being and creature have to die some day or the other so that is the cycle of life. It is for us to realize this cycle and go along with it. The main important point is that u do not be too attached with this material world as what ever you have and think is your is really not your as when you die you do not take anything with you it is jus te good deeds and charachter that you build that you take with you so life, live the right way and leave everything else to God and you have nothing to fear...

I consider myself as more spiritual than Christian, both. I'm not scared of dying as much as the suffering before I die if there is any suffering. You know some people die quickly or in their sleep
and don't even know their going to die before they do.So I don't really worry about it now.

No....Are you scared of living. When you know your soul survives how can you be scared. I'm not saying you know because you read it somewhere....You know as in you have experienced non-physical life with complete awareness which yo you can learn and do. For those who are really looking for answers and have to experience things firsthand...there may be something for you to discover. check out the Monroe institute ---science and spirituality found each other
I am a spiritual being having a human existence that I chose to experience..Just like you...What other religion is there..ignorance?

I don't dwell on the thought of dying, but since my grandmother just died a week ago, it brought the subject a little closer to heart. When I think about the finalization of it, it kind of creeps me out. I don't like to think of it as I have two young children and the thought of them not having their mother is very upsetting.

I am "supposed" to be catholic, but I am having a hard time believing in heaven and hell. I really believe that their may be spirits, but I just don't know.

I'm a CHRISTIAN. My thinking is first we all need to realize that our bodies are a VESSEL that CARRIES our SOUL. When we die , I believe that our soul goes to heaven or hell depending on how you lived your LIFE and if you followed GOD'S WORD.
Our bodies are either burned, buried or donated to science. Whatever the decision may be. I personally like the idea of saving another's life, by putting it to "GOOD USE' I'm not using my BODY anymore,so why not? I don't like the idea of knowing that my body will be burned up and become tiny little ashes! I don't like the whole burial thing, because I don't like knowing that my body will lay there and rot and become food for bugs. I know if I donated it to science,my body could be used in many many areas and I feel more comfortable with that thought. After there is nothing left of MY DEAD corpse, I know the rest will be burned and given to my family.
I feel my family will respect me even more as I'm gone. For I know they would think "she gave her body to help save peoples' lives, what more is better than THAT."

No. I've dealt with my mortality long ago. I'm not religious, so I don't think I'll be going to heaven. Death is an inevitablity. I see no reason to fear it. My only real fear is contributing nothing to the world before I die.

Nope, it is just shedding of one body for another. What I am afraid of is to die without understanding the reason for my human life.
Take the baggage of deeds (karmas) from this life onto the next one.
