Many studies have been done linking aspertame (an excitotoxin - so names because it excites cells to death) to cancer, nerve damage, headaches and many other health problems.MSG and Hydrolyzed products are excitotoxins as well. It is a controversial subject since the billion dollar industries that market these products have so much riding on them being deemed safe. The FDA says they are fine but I suggest you take your health into your own hands and do some research of your own before deciding. Money can buy anything, even at the cost of public health.

That's an old wives tale sweetheart. Mangoes are good for skin because they are high in Vitamin A. I eat mangoes in the summer and have perfect skin (I have psoriasis on my scalp but it has nothing to do with mangoes). When I hear the word mango I think of Doctor No, Underneath The Mango Tree was a song that was playing on the radio in 007's car, at the bar, and Honey Ryder was singing it when she walked out of the water. That's it I have to watch that movie again!

I don't think anyone knows of any from Splenda yet, though some claim NutraSweet causes cancer. Splenda is relatively new, so any harmful effects might not be caught for some time.

pretty much anything unnatural/synthetic has the same effect on your body. and that effect is not a good one...most notably they are notorious as a catalyst for cancer.
