My best friend who happens to be black likes this Russian girl who migrated to the states a couple of years ago. He is afraid to ask her out due his preconceived ideas about Russians being racist and all that Jazz. She attends the same school he attends. What should I tell him? I am not that great with women, so I don't know what to tell him

I am from Bulgaria and my fiancee is from Nigeria. We met in a club, but I am soooo glad he asked me out after. Eight years later, we have a gorgeous house, two beautiful children and some wonderful times in between.He should ask her out. And if she turns him down, it may not be because of his race, and just because she is not interested in him that way. Not ALL russians are rasist.He'll never know if he doesn't ask. She may turn out to be the greatest girlfriend, and they could have some great memories together.

You keep asking the same question. My guess you are the fellow with the crush on the Russian girl. Good luck, and remember the issue isn't race, but of culture, values, and morality.
Russians still have very strong family values, strong Orthodox Christians or Pentacostal and even some are Jewish.
Cultural differences, not racism will determine whether she'll like him (you), not the color of the skin.

you don't need to tell him anything. why are you going backwards? Go forward to now. We live now, times are changing all the time. Let him deal with this. How does she react to him? Does it look like she would be racists? Don't scare your friend, I don't think he's the only one in the world to like a Russian. Be open with your heart, God wanted all of us to love each other no matter what we are,. Let's make Him happy.

Tell him too def. go for it..maybe have him become friends with her first (but not good friends haha) just too see if she is racist..
Like the guy above said..all black when the lights go out...color doesn't matter whatsoever...if she is a racist then he wouldn't want too be with her anyway (And remind him that its a stereotype that all russians are racist)

Russians are racists? I didn't know that. I know they love vodka, though. Tell him it's nonsense...I used to have a friend from Poland...(Russian was her second language)...who stated to me once that they love men who are straight forward when it comes to wanting (to go out with) a girl...

Tell him to go for it. You should treat everyone the same until they give you a reason not to. If she is racist, then he would want to be with her anyway.

I know a Russian girl who dates an African guy...not african american--African. I mean judging from that I would tell him not to be so quick to judge.
