I think that you should just look. Don't feel any pressure to date at your age. You have plenty of time to get to know different guys just as friends. Hmmmm... In a guy friend, find someone trustworthy, and willing to get to know you for who you are.

Nothing but friendship. Concentrate on who you are and what you are about. Get all the education and have all the life experiences you can. Travel and learn about the world you live in.

You have your whole life to find a partner and marry. I married at 31 and had my first child at 35. I don't resent my husband, my children and hate my life as so many people who do those things sooner in life do. I had my adventures, I know who I am, and I was ready to settle down when I did. After 11 years of marriage, my husband and I are closer than ever, not divorced like so many of our contemporaries who married and had children sooner. Sure, we both weathered endless questions about when we would marry, would we ever settle down, and why we didn't have children, but we knew when it was right for us and we waited.

At 15, you do not know the poisonous things that the wrong boy can bring into your life. Things that have lifetime implications. It may seem exciting in the moment, but you have to protect yourself for your future depends on it.

Wow you've had a lot of responses and I tend to agree with most of them. You should just look for a guy who likes to hang with you as a great friend. Unfortunately, teenage boys don't have much to offer girls of the same age, except for want to get into their pants. Have a laugh and learn about life (and the opposite sex) together, but don't let them disrespect you or force you into anything. They can be very persuasive. Be strong (and safe!)

You should be lookin for your books instead of boys. I'm 15 and a full time honor roll student in the 11 grade bcuz i put myself first. If you are still thinking date a boy equivalent to you in every way possible.

Look for a guy who isn't just trying to try out sexual stuff because that's about the age when they turn into horn dogs. Find a guy who is just interested in hanging out and being friends, and if you don't find him for a while then whatever, just focus on making good friends while you are in high school. Relationships actually meaning something in HS are exruciatingly rare. So to sum it up:
1. one that you are friends with
2. one who doesnt just want to get in your clothes
3. one who gets along with all of your friends

cause really, thats all thats important in highschool...everyone getting along and NOT having sex! if i could tell you about all the girls that were "in love" with their boyfriends in HS and had sex and are still screwed up from it, youd be a senior citizen!
