4 days is long enough. He could be deydrated on top of his tummy trouble. Please tell your cousin to go to the vet with his dog. m

your cousin needs to take their dog to the vet, and stop allowing him to suffer. the dog sounds very sick, and probably needs anti-antibiotics.
if your cousin cant afford a vet...there are vets that will work out payment plans OR your local SPCA/Humane Society can help.
get the dog help NOW! your cousin is responsible for the animals well being!

go to a vet now. Your cousin has already waited about 3 days and 12 hours too long, but better late than never.

Get the dog to an animal hospital. Vets will be closed for the holiday, but an emergency hospital will not be. I am amazed the dog has lived this long. Please; rush him to the nearest animal hospital. No one on here can help him. He will already be severely dehydrated from being unable to drink. *No* creature deserves to die that way.

hopefully the dog had his round of parvo shots as a puppy(all 3 of them), and also some de-worming... i say to take the dog to the vet, and explain the situation, he may have some sort of flu, but it could be more serious. i will pray for your cousins dog, but in the meantime, please get him some help.
