Well if you can talk to him i'm sure you can drop into the conversation 'whats you name'? As you talkin just say 'what was your name again,' so it'll will look like your sayin 'i'm talking to you but i don'teven know your name'. He should get the idea that you like him.

Smile at him.
Ask him questions.
Be yourself

Why is he coming round to your house on Thursday? Knowing that may help in determining the best approach.

Thanks for the additional information.

When he arrives say "Hi. Thanks for bringing this, can you fetch it through here?" Lead him to into the house. "I'm (insert name here) by the way" pause to allow him chance to give his name, then "Care for a drink/coffee/cup of tea?". Try to keep eye contact and smile. If he fails to give his name just ask directly "So what's your name?"

Also whilst he is carrying the parcel check out his ring finger for a wedding ring.

Hopefully he will take you up on the drink and you will have the opportunity to chat further and possibly even arrange to see him again later.

I would just say something after you talk about whatever it is you talk about like the weather. Just say "whats your name anyway?" If you are sure you have never been formally introduced then he is probably feeling the same way about your name and wants to ask you too.

your own idea works well. It's pleasantly kooky and you can maybe start a conversation off it. It also sends out a very gentle "well helloooooo there". Enough of a come-on to make him think he has a chance, but nothing you can't back out of easily.

Say something like, "All this time we have been talking etc but we have never properly been introduced. Hi, my name is (insert) extend a hand and you are?

Sounds corny..but I think it could work.....

Hi, what's your name? I see you all the time, and I don't know it!

Invite him in, drug him, tie him to a chair and beat the information out of him.

Ask him to compare drivers licenses, to see "how awful you think your pic is and if he thinks so too" then ask if you can see his to compare his face then to now.....
