And how are you going to do that? skip a day in june? That is just such and unrealistic demand.

It's in our numberline 665, 666, 667...telephone #'s have it in them.
You cannot eliminate it.
The only time it is something bad is if you make it into something bad.
If 666 is just used for the intentions of a digit then it's not bad, but if you use it to indicate a group or a club you are in, then yeah, it's bad.
Wanting to completely eliminate it is insane.

Why? A recent analysis of the dead sea scrolls revealed the number that you're referring as 616 and NOT 666. 666 is just another number now I guess. Besides that's just superstition.

Nope, it's a number just like any other. If it has any religious significance to you, then don't use it, but it can't be eliminated from the number system. It bugs me that there's no 13th floor in buildings either. People on the 14th floor know which floor they're really on.

Just because it's the number of Satin dosen't automatically mean the number shouldn't exist.
It would **** with math over 666(100+700=801["it's soppose to be 800 dumbass]but, you must skip 666 so it is 801[I'm confused"]).
See my point?

Aside from being superstitious, that's just not practical. You can't just remove a number from the number system. You can choose not to use it. Some old buildings don't have a 13th floor. Well, technically they do and just call it floor 14.

ALong with the number 13, and any other number considered to represent something unlucky or evil by superstitious people?

2006-07-04 18:19:56 · answer #8 · answered by MOM KNOWS EVERYTHING 7 · 0 0

why? it is just a number and only has significance to those who make it so. There is an inate seperation between science(math) and religion. By taking out thise 'evil' number, it would be crossing this very bold, bright line. Just get it out of your head.

2006-07-04 18:21:05 · answer #10 · answered by cinfull 3 · 0 0

why? because it has symbolic meaning? That is stupid, it is just a number. Should we also eliminate 13? How about the word devil? evil?
