Yes, it does. I mean usually all the stess that one feels, is because of feeling overwhelmed by the many things they have to do; and always thinking about it. By meditating one clears their mind. And when i feel peaceful, i feel patient, and when i'm patient, things really do come to me much quicker. And not only that, but I feel more organized and less disordered.
Well, for me personally, meditation/ spirituality is not enhanced by vegatarianism. Well, that's because i've been eating meat since i was a child. The only animals i will not reluctantly eat, are chickens and cow/lamb/sheep, if it was anything else forget it. But anyways, my body needs this meat. I mean, i don't even get full if i don't eat meat. So basically, meat is my drug, as i'm pretty sure, is the same with a lot of other people. I'll practically go mentally insane without, that being my point.....

Meditation can be peaceful; the only real peace, however, is when I try to investigate the self/ego which chips away at the root cause of lack of peace. If this occurs by quieting the mind then -- great. The ego is really subtle and the 'spiritual ego' is the subtlest (the self concept that I get when I think I'm advancing or have something that someone else doesn't have).
As for vegetarianism enhancing meditation, I would think vegetarianism like anything else: what is it's motivation? If we see it as something special then it's going to be a detriment. Note that my friend was a vegetarian UNTIL he became a SERIOUS Zen student (because his vegetarianism was all about identity/self).

Patience is an expression of the feminine energy and assertiveness is an expression of the male energy. We should balance both in our lives. We need to understand the difference between patience and laziness. Patience is alertness while laziness is dullness. Patience requires energy while laziness does not. When there is patience, alertness results. One will be available to the rising sun, gentle breeze, twinkling stars… and there is no sense of urgency to reach out, but a deep energy that allows something to be let in.
Don’t ask me how to be patient. Drop all the struggles and your attempts to be unique. Drop all the tensions that accumulate by questioning – ‘How, when and why’. Instead learn to sit silently. You will find that the whole world of the stars, moon and birds are welcoming and entertaining you. Just lie down, see the vastness of space, feel the silence in the breeze and the warmth of the earth. Being aligned to nature, allow the mysterious energy to flow into you like Himalayan springs. You will soon discover that patience is God’s gift to you. You will then develop the ability to float in the river of life.
• Sit in a quiet place. Just observe your thoughts. Let thoughts come and go, but don’t get identified with them. Just be a witness
• Now look for gaps between thoughts. You will see the gaps between thoughts as silence. The observer of silence becomes silence. You cannot observe silence from a noisy state. As you observe the gaps, initial thoughts may be so many that you cannot see the gaps. Soon thoughts will slow down. Then you will see gaps and experience silence
• Next observe your breath. Be conscious of every inhalation and exhalation
• Your thoughts will further slow down. See and experience the warmth of air you inhale and exhale
• Observe how inhalation turns into exhalation and exhalation turns into inhalation
• Now just become silent… without words. Experience stillness. In silence alone, true communication opens up

Definitely, it does. Meditation is saying Prayers in secret. And when one finds inner Peace, what more can one ask for??
As for going vegetarian, I continue to strive daily and work on perfection in becoming one... at my own pace.
Meditation and self-healing is greatly enhanced through Fasting and Prayers.
Peace be with you!

Part of a verse of scripture says that in his law does he meditate day and night. To meditate is to, as preachers say every so often, to chew the cud. you go over and over what you have read from the Word.
AND
when you are through, you go over it again, and again.
AND
when you are through, you repeat the going over process.
You constantly think of it and the Lord and all.
Philippians 4:8 is a good one to meditate on.

It should make you feel peaceful, whether you consume meat or not. However,if you feel guilty for eating our animal friends(I'm trying to give up meat, myself),then maybe you would feel more at peace knowing you weren't contributing to anything's death. If vegetarianism is as healthy as it's supposed to be,it would enhance anything because you would just feel better all the time.

I meditate often on THE GOD alone!
I find that my Mecasa level does not change if I Vegi, Vega, or eat foul or meat.
I need no special position so my chakras are in alignment.
I would prefer the Kundalini not enter me at all.
I trust in THE GOD/JESUS to inspire and fill my being..... AND IT WORKS!
