sI agree but then that is why I am Mormon. I believe in Jesus Christ and that he is the Son of God. I also believe in the Bible (KJV) and the Book of Mormon. We don't believe on 44,000 Will be in heaven that is the Jehovah Witnesses. If you don't believe in or agree with it of course you would not join. As for letting women dress as they want, I do. I just choose not to dress in a way that I believe in immodest. As far as Pepsi and Coke being banned they are not. I know many Mormons who drink them. I don't but only because caffeine gives me a migraine. As far as not drinking alcohol (i.e. beer, wine, etc.) that is because many people don't stop at a little bit. Alcoholism is almost an epidemic in this world, been to an AA meeting lately to see everyone who now know that any alcohol is not safe or been to a bar and seen how many should be going to AA lately? So don't assume that some of the basic beliefs that Mormons are known for are so bad, many actually lead to a healthy life style and allows you to feel good about yourself. As for the person who said that Mormon women are not happy she is way wrong. I am happy and most of my friends are also. Maybe she need to get to know more Mormons before she makes assumptions about them. (yes like the rest of the world some have issues with depression but not more then the rest of the world).

There is an episode of South Park that shows my views on the Mormon religion well.
I'll explain. I don't believe Joseph Smith's story, but I do believe it is a very good religion.
I know I haven't looked into it enough, but after reading the book of Mormon and talking to a lot of Mormons I came up with that conclusion. Yes, I did these things well before South Park was ever on t.v.
See Mormons are very good people, heck they are generally better then most others are. So even though I don't believe in thier exact religion. I do believe in thier teachings.
I believe everybody should take some leasons from the Mormons, it will make you a better person.

This is a quick guide to archived discussions from Recovery from Mormonism related to polygamy and the wives of Joseph Smith. Many Mormons are unaware of Joseph Smith's wives. Mormons innocently believe these women were only sealed to him after his death. They are unaware of his relations with women as young as 14. One of his young wives was Helen Kimball. Be sure to read her article.
Just look at the facts. You may wonder how so many people could be wrong for so long. But that is the hard truth of it. And the really sad part of it is that the mormon religion is not alone in being a false religion teaching false teachings. Joseph Smiths actions do not even make him appear to be a Christian. He could not have been a prophet from Jesus Christ our true one and only Saviour. Be sure to look at the information provided in the sites below. You can also take a look at my blog at http://supplytheword.blogspot.com/... I try my best to put something on there every morning for anyone that would like to know the truth. I find it interesting that about 75% of the people who have commented so far have made absolutely false claims about the Mormon church. And a lot of it appears to be merely heresay. I have advice for you people, if you want to make these claims, either back it up with hard evidence, or say you're not sure. I have no idea what in the world that one guy is talking about that from the Book of Mormon it is said that only however many he listed can make it to heaven.
Has anyone who's commented actually read the Book of Mormon? I highly doubt it, yet they have no problem making accusations about it's supposed falsities.

properly before each little thing this is nice that she waited earlier transferring into any faith; good for her for wanting information. As for Mormon, I went to an LDS church a pair cases and they say they're really Christians with a pair different beliefs. They stick to Christ yet to boot have the e book of Mormon and a pair diverse rituals. maximum favor to keep their bodies sparkling and could no longer drink any alcohol or maybe caffine each so often. they believe their kin will stay jointly always in heaven. they even believe that there is no longer purely Heaven and Hell yet a "waiting room" like position if you did not listen about Jesus in the international. it really is purely the basics of what i have heard and that i'm sorry if i have gotten something mixed up. i'm a Christian yet I recognize the Mormon beliefs. desire that enables =)

I was married to my beautiful wife in the Cardston Alberta LDS Temple. I held many positions in the church and paid a full tithe. Then my wife gave me a son.. I LOVED that little boy more than I have loved anything or any one before. I couldn't think of a thing he might do in his life to take that love I had for him out of my heart. Then I started to wonder.. How could God reject over 90% of his children (Never let them back into his presence).. Was I a better father than God?.. Then he showed me that though mankind was his creation not all of then were His children. That most were of their father the devil. He showed me that if I came to Him in faith he would recreate me spiritually making me His child. I was born again that hour and sought a Bible teaching church. As time went on I found out that ONLY Jesus preexisted and we were never at anytime in the eternal past ever equal to God. That God was never a man like me an I would never be a God like Him. That idea is blasphemy . These are the doctrines that make Mormonism a non-christian cult. These teachings are evil teachings, the same teachings that the serpent used in the Garden of Eden. "You won't die you will be like God...." And even the ideas that turned Satan from being the angle called the Light Barer to Satan.. "I will make myself like the most High..."

Er - coffee, tea, coke and pepsi being banned, they were not even thought of in the bible times. Alcohol is acceptable in the bible - remember that bit about 'a little wine does you good'?
It is another religion that tries to be better than others on spurious grounds.
My daughter and son in law are mormons so I am tollerant and I certainly believe people should be free to follow their beliefs. I should therefore be free to believe that this is an invented quasi religion and rightly belongs under the heading of oddballs!

i disagree with it. i have many friends that are mormon and i own the book of mormon and i dont agree with any of it. i think that women should be able to wear what ever they want and marry whoever they want. they should also be allowed to have caffine and go out and do whatever they want on sundays. they also have a 5 hour video that they have to watch once or twice a year and i think that it is unreasonable. i am still in school and my mormon friends are waking up to go to church BEFORE school at 4am. and all mormon women that i know are not happy people.

it mentions in to book of Mormon that the 44, 000 will only make it into heaven through good works- there are 3 million + in the the movement-where does the 2 million 43 thousand ( give or take go to), hell possibly, You don't need mathematics to work out what the movement is really about. Common sense takes over

I disagree with it. there is evidence that the bible is true. Some may contest the meaning of the evidence, but at least we know certain historical events happened. Not so with Mormonism. There is no evidence that smith ever got any revelation from God. I am told that he attempted to use the old style Thou and thy and Thee and got it wrong. Also they claim to agree with the bible but there book of Mormon contradicts it. We are not gods nor can we become gods. Smith misunderstood Christianity and thus his religion is not in synch with it.
