Depends, would Britain still stick their noose where they shouldn't?
Anyways... one thing is for sure, after Blair sold out his country to Georgie, Britain is certainly more vulnerable to attack.

NO way! What has America got to do with Britain's vulnerability?
In fact, I'd go further than that! I'd say that Britain is MORE vulnerable because of America, not less.
America keeps leaning over Britain and poking at the hornets nest. When the hornets finally react, it won't be America that they sting, it will be Britain!

If the U.S. wasnt around, Britain would be vulnerable to attack. In fact the U.S. is Great Britains top ally, and the most trusted, and as a U.S. citizen we should never think on this topic, because without America, many nations around the world still be hostile and communist nations. To my belief to why Britain still exists is because America wants Great Britain to exist, and the same way around Great Britain wants America to exist. America and Great Britain are very close in which makes us powerful allies.

The phrasing of the question makes it sounds like we're not vulnerable to attack now...which is interesting as we approach the first anniversary of the London Tube bombing...carried out as far as can be understood by people making a suicidal stand against the UK's support of the US war in Iraq...

I think we'd be less vulnerable to attack from the people who want to attack us now, though who knows - the Argentinians might try and get a bit of payback for Thatcher's War.

If the us didnt exist anymore, iam sure some government would be scuttling around collecting our munitions and nukes and technologies, which means that someone, or a select few would end up with parts and pieces of the power we have (which, aside from munitions, isnt a whole hell of a lot)

I would honestly have to say, based on Britians amazing feet dragging qualities, and assheadness that even france could ship over here and dismantle what goodies were left over from our demise before britians could even finish discussing the matter over tea.

So, as it is, I believe britian would be the same as they are now, only without a big little brother, so to speak, to save their sorry asses.

why do most people think that the world will stop if the US disappeared? total crap! America (as a culture) is only a couple of hundred years old, whereas the British military/navy were "invented/set in motion" by Henry the VIII hundreds of years before "palefaces" set foot ashore the new land.
besides, i didn't see America come help England in the 70s and 80s when we were getting bombed by terrorists every week.. (if that happened in America, they'd be shitting themselves and Bush would want to attack some random country!)

We British are tough.. bomb scares every week? SO WHAT!
WE AIN'T SCARED!...

After Britain won the 2 world cups of fighting, do you think the Germans will go for our title again in World War 3. I don't think anybody will attack the defending champions

it really is my opinion that they should be doing the full opposite. Why could Iran take delivery of the prospect to really do what they have pronounced they love to do - blow Israel off the map. No, as allies the U. S. and Britain should be assisting Israel's proper to forge a preemptive strike and the faster the better. those sanctions are reaching no longer something. Iran will enable its ppl to starve contained in the conception that the purpose of destroying Israel is extra significant.

Don't talk S**T. We are more vulnerable siding with America. I think that we have taken care of ourselves for long enought. All America has done is completely mess things up. On one hand they want to fight terrorism with a vengeance and yet in Northern Ireland they have supported the IRA for years. What a bunch of two faced idiots.

I thought the terrorist did attack Britain, and Spain for that matter. And the US was still here. So if the terrorist attacked then, I'm sure they would attack if the US was no longer around.
