Red, White, and Blue Cake (mmmm)
You make a regular cake (prepared or from scratch), then you take some cookie cutters. The morning of or night before, make jello (red=cherry/strawberry, white=lemon/cocnut, and blue=blueberry). When the cake is done you push the cookie cutters into the cake just until the shapes touch the top. Then you do the same with the jello and place the jello pieces into the cake. I usually make star shapes. It turns out delicious and beautiful!! Enjoy

I have a GREAT 4th of July dessert recipe...
FRUIT PIZZA
You use one package of (rolled up) sugar cookie dough
One package of cream cheese
One tub of cool whip
sugar to taste
Blueberries and raspberries and/or strawberries
You roll out the cookie dough onto a cookie sheet so it is a rectangle. Cook it according to the package directions.
In a bowl mix the cream cheese, cool whip and sugar (confectioners or granulated) to taste (should be sweet but not too sweet).
When large cookie comes out of oven, cool it....
Once cool spread cream cheese mixture over entire cookie.
Decorate with raspberries/strawberries and blueberries into the shape of the American flag. It looks great and tastes delicious!!

My mom and me always used to make flag cake. Just a regular white cake mix, after baking put a layer of strawberries down, unless you like blueberries more, then you can put blueberries, ice the cake with Cool Whip and then put strawberries and blueberries for the stars and stripes (in the pattern of the flag), that's what we used to do.
