The JRT's tail is generly docked (cut) a bit longer than other dogs who have their tails cut.This is for sporting ...so you have a handle per say to drag them out of a hole....They have events where you can see if your JRT is the Best at going underground through tunnels after rats or rabbits. I think the Terrier races are adorable and No they dont need tails.

What on earth are you TALKING about??? Some idiot AR-goof get you going on the B-S about "tails are rudders"??? That's NONSENSE!!!
JRT are a docked breed. *Some* un-informed dock too short. *Some* are "natural-bob"...So what??
And,terrier racing is a straight-away.

The are NOT "tailed" in the catch box either. So,tail length has absolutely nothing to do w/terrier racing.

Uh-oh...you looking at JRTCA??? That can be only open to JRTCA reg. dogs.

Please explain.
