You can go for it if you can stay detached since the other person will always be detached at the end of the day if they are forbidden (I'm assuming married, not incestuous). If you can maintain distance in your heart, then see what happens. Just don't expect anything. (If incestuously forbidden... stay away).

ah, i've asked myself this last week, if i was to persue something absolutely forbidden. it is not worth it. it may be a fun ride but the end is the kicker.

Depends. There's so many different kinds.
If you're comfortable with it, your partner's comfortable with it, and the police won't have to get involved, then definitely.
If it's something the police SHOULD be involved with, and the police will not be a partner, then definitely not.
