Isaac was the promised son whom God gave Abraham and Sarah. Ishmael came about as a result of not trusting in God enough and trying to take matters into ones human hands.

Then why do Islamics claim that they alone follow God when His original covenant was made with the children of Isaac not Ishmael. Christ descended from Issac and established the new covenant that was to be the last.

The conclusion we should come to in light of the conflict in the middle east, is that we need to:
1. Trust God and His promises.
2. Wait for God when He says He's going to do something.
3. Only have sex with your wife!!!
Otherwise....look what can happen!

Ishmael is the son of Abraham and Sarah's handmaid, considered the father of the Arabs. Isaac is the son of Sarah and Abraham. Sarah demanded that Ishmael and his mother be 'put out' to insure the succession to her son Isaac. Hence, the beginning of the division between Arab and Jew.They literally are cousins. And for the record, the original covenant was made with Abraham, meaning both Isaac and Ishamel have equal claim to the "God of their Father". And ALL Muslims recognize Abraham as the father of the father of the Arabs, including kinship with Jews.

Both were son's of Abraham. Ishmael was born of Hagarr aNd Isaac was born of his wife Sara. Issac was the son of promise but Abraham and sarah didn't want to wait on God so Sarah allowed the maid to have a baby for Abraham.

Ishmael was the first born, but of a slave woman, not abrahams #1 wife, and God wouldn't give him the blessing. When Sarai had Issac as God told before hand Abraham sent hagar and Ishmael away,but God took care of them and Made of him a "great nation".

And ishmael was cast away from Abraham, thats why his decendents of come to hate the decendants of Isaac. Thats also why whats going on in the middle east won't be resolved by giving up so much land, or allowing a nation to be formed, it will only end when one race or another is completely gone from the earth.

You are correct! The promised Messiah came through Issac then Jacob ect. The Jews and Palistine nation both claim Abraham as their father and they are correct! That is why there is so much turmoil over who's land this belongs to in Israel!

Jacob was Isaac's son and his name was changed to Israel, hence Israel.

I think most Bible readers do. Muslims don't want to claim kin to Isaac that would make them cousins to Israel.
