Just one gram, hasn't any incidence in a recipe. Forget it about one gram. Imagine that one gram is nothing, and you'll be happy. Another point of view is that a gram is a 1 / 454th of a pound.

A good way to visualize one gram is this: Measure 1 tablespoon of veg or olive oil. This is aproximately 14 grams of pure fat. Imagine this spoonful divided 14 ways (if possible)

One thousand grams = 2.21 pounds
Multiply 2.21 by 16 and it will tell you the number of ounces in 1000 grams. Beyond that, you'll have to ask what you want specifically or do the conversions on your own. Dunno how you want the data reported.

1/28th of an ounce. you can't measure it with a tablespoon, because that measures volume, and not mass.
