I don't know that I would actually call it sex b/c he's fixed. But he get's on our knitted blankets, kneads them with his paws, and then his penis comes out. It's really nasty! Anyone know why he does this, and how to make him stop?

My himi "Matt" does this too. He yowls while he does it and then he gets one and has to "lick" himself. It is weird. He is also neutered, but he does it almost every day. Usually it is the blankets, or the edge of his cat bed. Nothing actually comes out, but it gross none the less!!!!!!!

And I don't think there is a way to make them stop!!!!!!

Kneading is a behaviour cats learn in kittenhood—they knead on their mother's stomach to stimulate her milk into a faster flow as they drink. When adult cats do this, it's a form of comfort that means the cat feels safe and content.

I'm not sure why his penis erects, though. I've had two female cats knead, but never a male.

My male animals (and occasionally female) have almost all had "wives". Yes, they were all neutered. If your cat has a favorite blanket to abuse, just throw it away. My dog Shorty has stuffed animals and I can tell when he's getting amorous because he starts licking them - foreplay! When this happens, that wife gets thrown in the dumpster.

Some house pets just have a habit of humping/having sex with household items (my own dog use to do so with an old boot). I'd suggest taking your cat to a vet.

Hel probably will never stop this, since he is doing this and he is already fixed. Just try to put one blanket in his spot for him to use, instead of any blanket he see. Good Luck !

My (now deceased) male tomcat once tried to "jump" my husband's arm, and mate it. It was probably THE funniest thing I've ever seen.

And you're stopping him.....because? Let him do his thing, (the blanket) he'll soon grow out of it, "enjoy it" while it lasts?!

Lots of neutered cats and dogs do this. It's normal. The best thing to do is just ignore it.

I know its gross but my dog does this, eventhough he has been "fixed." I think its kinda normal and they are having urges. If it really bother you, spray him with some water and say no!. I think he'll get the hint.
