when you are anxious, and do not want to shield the worry with drugs or alcohol, what do you do?

Hot Bath (Don't spare the bath oil) Sometimes with candles, relaxing music in the background. A big cup of herbal tea and a good book. If your not a reader an activity that is relaxing to you. Watch a good movie talk to my your friend and I'm good to go. Good question I guess everyone is different, but that works for me. Have a safe and relaxing 4th of July.

Everyone is different, if you are talking about when you are stressed/anxious in you home or wen you are by yourself then any number of the other suggestions could work whether it is exercise, calm music or simply some fresh air, it is simply a question of finding what works for you. If you are talking about the stress/anxiety of meeting someone or in a business interview etc then try putting it in to perspective (think about what the worst thing that could happen, by knowing what this is you can't be scared of it as you are prepared for it. Alternatively try wiggling your toes - it sounds silly, but it takes you mind off the stress and isn't visible to anyone watching you.

Walk. Dimly lit room, lavendar scents. Good for calming. A bath with some sort of bubbles or a milk bath. Or call a friend who is always known to give you a laugh!

Exercise has been proven to reduce stress. You should combine cardiovascular exercise with weight training. You will feel better!

I think that the best stress reliever is to rest, listen to music and
go to the church.

believe it or not i use to have sex as a stress reliever. but not anymore im kinda sexed out. now i would say a drive on a nice road to clear my head.

meditation, yoga, counting to 10 , breathing deeply, walking , just dont eat or become violent, go into a room byyourself , take a shower
