If I remember the passage from the Book of Wogan correctly, David Icke claimed that the earth was run by giant lizards dressed up in human disguise, wearing turquoise shell suits was an essential step on the path to enlightenment,and that he, Mr Icke, was the godhead, whatever that is.

Oh bless him...
Once a fairly dull sports comentator, David then became the Son of God and preached about the benefits of wearing only...I think it was purple...
Now he thinks the Lizards run everything. The only thing I'd say is his targets are good...I mean, if you're going to accuse anybody of being a secret alien lizard, George W Bush and the Royal Family... Well they'd be in your top ten, wouldn't they?

we are all children of god and consequently a part of god ourselves.
Organised religion teaches you that you are separate from god, and that god is a punisher. Doesn't quite fit with me if God is love.
I beleive god is in all of our hearts, and we are all children of god. Old Ike-y had his message slightly confused in the press to great effect in discrediting him. The research he did 10-15 years ago about what was really happening in the world some is now accepted fact and not accredited to him.
Not sure about lizards though, however we live in a world where we know less than 1% about creation and the universe. It could be possible but the part of me brought up in this period in histroy says that is utter bunkem, because we have no frame of reference.
Lizards? Who knows?

According to the Bible, Jesus is the son of God.
Acoording to both the Qu'ran and the Torah, there is no son of God.
When you're talking about polytheistic faiths, you have to be more specific.
