What can I substitute mascarpone cheese for in a dessert recipe? I can't eat any type of cheese.

just sack it off and make buns instead.

Cottage Cheese or Ricotta Cheese can be used instead. Ricotta is closer to mascarpone.

You can try cream cheese or ricotta because they're quite the same in usage and consistency.

mascapone is a really light cheese almost like a butter. I'm lactose intolerant and mascapone doesn't seem to affect me.

I suppose a sub could be cream cheese (also a cheese) or maybe sour cream? ick

I dunno!
